Adirondack Farming Series

Now that I’m writing for the Adirondack Daily Enterprise in my hometown of Saranac Lake, I thought it would be interesting to do a series on local farms. The mountains are good for growing potatoes, and of course a bumper crop of rocks, but what else can you grow when the season is this short? A lot, it turns out. Here are three examples:
